Since 1991
Purchased in 1991, the Pula Thaba Game Farm is a vast tract of land consisting of varied terrain with impressive mountains to the East of the property and flatter areas to the West.
About Us
Interspersed with smaller granite koppies and outcrops it is a very scenic and beautiful part of the bushveld. Large trees such as Wild Fig, Leadwood, Marula, Tambooti and many Acacia varieties forming part of the landscape.
Impala Breeding
Pula Thaba is home to some of the biggest impala genetics in South Africa! These genetics produce big bodied impala that grow massive horns with the classic shape.
Cape Buffalo Breeding
Since 1993 we have been involved with the breading of disease free buffalo which we obtained from the Eastern Cape.
Hunting
Hunting is conducted on an open farm with no internal fences. Pula Thaba has over 25 trophy species available for hunting.
Nature Conservation
At Pula Thaba we pay close attention to the condition of the habitat. In 2000 we began an extensive de-bushing program to remove most of the encroaching and invasive plant species. This has allowed the natural grasses to regenerate and prolifirate.
The veld has been rehabilitated and maintained to a condition wherby the land can safely sustain the animals it is carrying without intervention.
It is a mixed veld region with predominantly sweet grass species providing excellent grazing and nutrition throught the year.
Pula Thaba Safaris Accommodation
The Pula Thaba Safaris camp accommodation consists of a traditional farm house with all required amenities. With three air-conditioned bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room and lounge, the house can sleep 8 people comfortably.
Electricity supply is from the national grid and is three phase 220v. There is also a back up generator in case of emergency. Outside there is a sheltered eating area, but most meals are enjoyed around the fire under the stars!
