Breeding herds of buffalo and impala roam a large portion of reserved land.
Impala Breeding
Pula Thaba Safaris is home to some of the biggest impala genetics available in southern Africa!
These exceptional genetics, which are found naturally in the area, produce big bodied impala that grow massive horns with the classic shape. Despite impala being one of the most prolific species in Africa and always on a trophy hunters wish list, it is sad to say that big impala are relatively scarce to find on most properties these days.
In a reserved section of land we have 9 breeding rams running with 250 ewes, 6 with horns over 25” and 4 with horns that are over 26”. There is also a 27.5” ram running alone with 50 ewes in a separate area. A buyer would therefore be obtaining a selection of these various genes when purchasing either pregnant ewes or young rams from our herds.
Buffalo Breeding
Since 1993 Pula Thaba Safaris has been involved with the breeding of disease free buffalo obtained from the Eastern Cape.
As can be seen from the photo gallery our buffalo carry spectacular horns. Our breeding bull, who is an offspring from the initial group, measuring over 44.5”.
